Great overnight site. It was clean and quiet. It was easy to get to off the interstate, which is what made it good for the overnight stop. Sites are pretty narrow, but we could pull through.

It was great for an overnight (or visiting local attractions). Owners are great--friendly and welcoming. Very quiet. Easy to get to from I-64.

The owners were great--extremely friendly, personable, helpful, kind. They were a pleasure to talk to. Worked with us and our rig to get us the best spot for it (easy in/out). Helped back it in (as only one of us was available for that). The campground is mostly seasonal, but it was extremely quiet. They do not have a lot of recreational activities on site, which is fine with us. We don't use them anyway. Wouldn't necessarily recommend it for families with small children--no playground that we could tell. Great for exploring the area and using the lakes in the area. Would most definitely stay here again.

The sites were large and for the most part very treed so you don't feel like you are right on top of your neighbor. Although there are no water hookups there are water stations through out the park so you don't have to walk far to get water if needed. We have camped here several times before and will do so again.

Sites are narrow, overall. You are very cozy with your neighbors on either side. All sites (except overflow) have full service, including sewer hookup. Controlled entry into the location. Very clean overall. Shuttle service for casino is great. It is a good place to stay if just overnighting or if there for the casino. If we weren't going to the casino, we probably wouldn't stay there.

Great place to stay while we were doing other things in the area. Not crowded. Very pretty. They are building a new larger shower facility, so some sites were not available. Still wasn't a problem to get in though. Love the rate per night, too!

What a great place to stay! Wide, long sites that are level. Very quiet. There are about 1/2 the sites that are seasonal. Easy to get into and out of. And, all the trees! The pines really do whisper here!

Great county park! The sites were very shaded, very private. Lots of trees and greenery. Playground area for kids. In a county park, so there are hiking trails for all levels, fishing, picnic areas. Was quiet all weekend long, even though the campground was full. We would stay again.

Wonderful! As soon as you pull in the park, you feel as if you are in a different, quiet, natural world. We were here on a weeknight, and it was maybe 1/3 full. Plenty of space. Beautiful sites with lots of green space. Private sites have green "belts" between sites. We liked it so much, we are already planning a return trip to be able to stay multiple days. Sites level, the circles or rings of sites makes it seem much smaller than it is. The lake front sites are all non-electric (tents or class b). What a great park!

We only stayed here 1 night. Sites were a bit narrow, but the park was not even close to full, so we didn't have people on either side of us. Easy to get around. Very nice people working there. Far enough off the tollway so that it wasn't noisy. Well maintained. We would stay here again.

The good: convenient to activities we were here for. Full hookup sites right next to the lake. Great wildlife. Owners very responsive, friendly, helpful. Took care of an issue with a tent (not ours) behind our rig immediately. Lots of very shaded sites. The bad: very dry and roads are extremely dusty (not paved) with lots of holes (could use a good layer of stone). Very busy campground--lots of coming/going. Overall: We would stay here again.

Glad we were here only overnight. Park not full. Park over 50% seasonal, and it appeared that each seasonal person was responsible for their own site maintenance (e.g. mowing the grass), so there was great variation in the level of maintenance provided. Very shabby--needs a lot of basic maintenance--paint and building repairs. Sites were level. Park was quiet, except for all the golf carts running around. The ponds were very low--swampy. The registration desk/store was like an old, well-used ashtray--the people working were smokers. It was OK for a quick overnight, but I wouldn't plan on staying here again.

The park has small sites but is quite pretty and has some very nice shaded sites. Staff was very friendly and did a great job of making you feel welcome. I will definitely stay here again.

Very friendly staff. Sites on the smallish side, but that was OK with us. WiFi was sketchy at best. A little traffic noise. Loved that the campers quieted down around 9 p.m. Very clean. Very well maintained. Great trees and shade. We would stay here again.

Loved this campground. Very well maintained, overall. Quiet. Not a lot of amenities (e.g. no playground, no pool), but for a home base for the area, worked out great--we weren't looking for amenities. Hosts led you to site, helped you line up. Very friendly. Has WiFi for $1 per day. Parking areas were stone, all sites had a concrete patio with picnic table and fire ring. It looked like most sites were full hook up, and most were pull through. We would definitely stay here again.

We thought this was a good place to stay, and would stay here again. The price is right for the amenities. There is some train noise and some road noise (which is why no "10"), but otherwise very quiet. Unlike the other comments here, we did not have a problem pulling in a site, people did not stay up late, owner did come through a couple of times during the weekend we were here. It is a beautiful setting, with a site for every taste (shaded, not shaded, private, pull through, etc.) Loved that the owner gave us a map, and let us pick what area and site we wanted. Great access to bike trails.

Good things: Lots of trees, shade, next to state park, quiet, large sites, level sites. When hooking up there was a problem with their water spigot and anti-siphon valve. They fixed it within 10 minutes. Not so good: WiFi was intermittent at best, sites were all stone (no grass) probably due to all the trees, poor maintenance in some areas (e.g. basketball court). Overall, we would camp here again.

This campground is new in 2006, and still needs to work out some issues. GOOD THINGS: Great shady sites, beautiful location; sites are pretty private, with lots of trees/shrubs between sites. Very natural--not groomed and manicured to death. Everybody here uses ATVs on the trails, which are very close by. Great natural place to use as base for exploring the area or going on the ATV. NOT SO GOOD: there was no map (they had run out of copies); site was not level, so it took a lot to level our rig; check in was in the bar and poorly marked; no clue where to put trash; seems to be mostly seasonal; few rules so there was one very loud and long night (out of 3 nights there); very few amenities.

This was the best maintained park! Staff were constantly sweepiing/ vacuuming/ making it neat. Great sites, all with concrete patio and excellent picnic table. Lots of grassy areas. Fun activities. Snack bar is OK--not outstanding. Only minor downside is that we tend to be the "early to bed-early to rise" types, and thier quiet time started late on Saturday night because they had a live band playing outside and not far from our site. Across the street from ATV trails, had great mini-golf. Looks like they are still adding on and adding amenities.

It is pretty quiet; family friendly; pet friendly. They escort you to your site. Overall, it is starting to deteriorate, and could use some stringent maintenance. Extra charges for a lot of items, including dump station. Neighboring site had electrical problem, which they did fix quickly. Large sites with tables. Fire rings are shared. It was good for our "maiden voyage" or shake-down of the new rig, but we wouldn't go there again.
